[Exclusive] All 12 members of LOONA are free - won their lawsuits to terminate exclusive contracts
All 12 members of the girl group LOONA are now free from their agency, which was embroiled in controversies such as unfair settlement.
On the 16th, The Seoul High Court’s 5th Civil Cases Division ruled in favor of the five remaining members of the girl group LOONA, who appealed for an injunction to suspend the validity of their exclusive contract with agency Blockberry Creative.
As such, the remaining members, Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Olivia Hye and Go Won, will all be able to start anew outside Blockberry.
Viewing there to be a problem with Blockberry’s transferring of exclusive contracts to Japanese agency Universal Japan without the written consent of the members, the court decided to suspend the effect of the exclusive contracts.
Following Chuu first leaving the group LOONA in November of last year, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Hyunjin and Vivi have departed as well. Now the last remaining five members are also able to work freely.
With Chuu at ATRP, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry at Modhaus, and Hyunjin and Vivi in CTDENM, the members are currently all finding new homes. The remaining members, whose activities had practically been indefinitely suspended, are expected to make fresh starts once again.
Fantastic news orbits have been waiting for! Now the next question is where the remaining 5 go… Most likely to be one of the last 2 companies mentioned. My bet is the last one, CTDENM with Hyunvi, but I would be happy with Modhaus too.
